The initials FS for Felix Schlag were not added to the Jefferson Nickel until 1966. Name one other coin type on which the designer's initials were added to an existing design.

First post that correctly answers wins Striking Impressions: A Visual Guide to Collecting U.S. Coins authored by Van Ryzin.

Don't forget, we also draw for a runner-up prize from all remaining posts with a correct answer.

Good Luck!

REMINDER: The Numisma-Quest ends/ended on Saturday at midnight EST. Entries after that time will not be valid. See the Trivia Info post for more details.

When you post your answer, only the administrators can see it. Stop back each Monday. We will make all the posts visible and announce the winners.

The initials being added to the Lincoln cent is something I would disagree with. The original coin design had the designers initials. The initials were removed and then restored, albeit on a different side. Kind of like the mint marks were restored to coins in 1968. They weren't added, but restored.

Perhaps just semantics, but I was looking for a coin where there were no initials originally and then they were added.

Anyway, congrats to EVP and IrishMike.
