another rival mint sealed ike set?

I guess so. I got my eye on a 1971-S FS-103 DDO NGC PF 69*. I'm just debating wether or not I can spend what the seller wants for it. That's a mortgage payment for me.

Yeah, I have had that one in my eBay watch list for a while now

That's from NFC right Yonico? They had that a fair price and Ive bought from them at fair prices and a few other p$ they have all well priced. But they have this one 314 Peace dollar listed for moon money and its not that nice. I asked them if it was a pricing error when it was even higher and they cut it significantly saying it was an pricing error, but its still listed at moon money despite a correction. I honestly thought they literally had an extra number in the price. Are the 314 peace dollars considered famous at this point?

Yes it is. I actually made an offer on it at $50 off the listed price, and they accepted. They're very easy to work with, I've bought from them many times before.

What's 314 peace dollars? If you're referring to the sample slabs they have listed, then yes - they're priced at about 200% of what they're worth. Perhaps they believe the green CAC means something on sample slabs? I have many of these that would get gold CAC if submitted, no question (the MS60 grade is just a number they slapped on all these samples, most are a lot nicer than 60)

I agree, I am a fan of NFC. Its just this ONE coin seems like an anomaly. 314 coins are old NGC toned peace dollars all with a starting serial number of 314.

They are rumored to be doctored AT coins. ANd all in fact have a weird look to them.

Coin appears to be gone from the site. It was there for years priced at 1750$ then my inquiry had them drop it to 1250. But it was just a run of the mill 1923 in MS 64 I think it was.

Oh ok..

Yeah I remember seeing the one you were talking about. And yes it was very expensive. I wonder if anyone bought it

Solid original coin. Off soon to NGC to get it's MS 66 FBL (hopefully).

Good luck with the submission! If that were a 48 P I'd say it had no chance at a 66, but since it's from Denver it may have a chance. The only real problem I can see is the hit in front of Franklin's forehead. I've been looking for a nice 48 D in 65 FBL for a long time now. They're not easy to locate.

I did a little buy back this week :whee:

This little guy is so flashy in hand, just booming!

The most pleasing Ike I've ever seen, welcome back to the collection.

Obverse-4.jpg

A new addition, always room for nicely toned reverse Morgans... Not to mention this is a 1901 and very hard to find with attractive toning :-)

Hey Eric, that's the 1901-O from GreatCollections' auction of tonight, isn't it?

I'm sorry, I cursed "bidder 10" out loud for outbidding me on it ! Didn't know it was you lol

Very nice addition, I'm happy you got it!

I'm 100% sure it is even nicer in hand!

That 1901-O Morgan Dollar was on my watch list on Great Collection, I knew someone will bidding for more than I want to bid, so I am not bothering to bid on it. It's really nice toning Morgan Dollar to add in Morgan collection! Congrats Eric!

I have jfk 50 year gold proof, first day and early release. does anyone have a true value of these coins?

It just coming out on usmint.gov recently, so there is no actual value for it yet. For right now, it's $1,240, that's my opinion. Let's see what someone else said.

Several PR70DCAM sold for ~$3,000 each already on eBay.

the first four graded PCGS as 70DCAM sold for $5,000 each at the ANA show already.

I know that a few dealers pay more than $1,240 for the raw pieces (cause of buy limits and customers that want it NOW), so it is most definitely more than that AT THE MOMENT.

Just picked this 20 cent piece at the Heritage Signature Auction Chicago.

This is item #4 in my 19th Century Obsolete Collection. I compared this piece against a couple of AU58's. I found the breast feathers on this coin to be much finer and little disturbances on Liberty's head plus much sharper and better definition of her robes. I am going to CAC this one.
