Concerning the 1925 California Diamond Jubilee Celebration:

VICE-PRESIDENT DAWES ACCEPTS:

When it was learned that President Coolidge would be unable to cross the Continent, as the Jubilee’s guest, an impressive plaque of California gold was made and the official invitation of the Committee inscribed thereon, as a fitting souvenir for the Chief Executive.

An image addition to this chapter in my book project.

Great pick-ups everyone. Here's my NEWP. A total surprise win at Legend. I never expected to win it at the price I bid. I already own two with better grades in this year (GSA), but I was attracted to the toning on this one. It's my first GSA toner.

I was in a bidding war on eBay for the PF-68 and finally gave up after I reached my budget. Then within a couple of hours left before the end of the auction, I get an email from eBay stating that the highest bidder dropped out and I became the highest bidder. I got it for half of my budget.
