From a member ATS. I have wanted one of these for a very long time.

Hi Paul,

The images are too small to read the labels...what exactly are these? They are cool whatever they are!

They were privately minted by the FSNC (Full Step Nickel Club) with Felix Schlag's original award winning design. They forced him to make drastic changes to his design before minting, especially the reverse. There were 1,938 sets minted and encapsulated by SEGS and this is set #820.

Speaking of Lehigh96, I just received this beast from him.

It breaks my heart to have to sell coins like this Lincoln, but honestly, that coin fits much better in your collection than mine and I am thrilled that you have it now. Here is my photo using diffused lighting in contrast to Bob's magnificent photo.

Thanks, Bobby. It's almost a perfect match for the

1889 Off Center Nickel I bought a few months ago.

Now both Grandparents ( my Father's side ) are

both remembered as being off center !! lol

Seriously, I am always looking for nice / unusual 1889 &

1891 coins.

Very Nice coins all since my last.

For my Type Set:

Seller's image and description:

"As business strike Three Cent Nickels go, this one is quite colorfully, in fact, rather wildly toned. The hues are more vivid than seen in the image, and this is easily one of the prettiest business strikes I have seen of any date and grade."

LeeG is that one from Mark Felds site?

Snagged it from Mark's New Purchases email.

Historically, Marks is always the first new purchases email I receive of about five that I submit to.

A significant advantage for him in my mind! :)

Thanks for the kind words all on this purchase.

Here are NGC 's comments on this year of 3CN from Coin Explorer:

Business strike three cent nickels appear to be one of the more undervalued areas in the coin market today. They are very scarce in an absolute sense, especially in comparison to their proof counterparts, and are also very challenging to locate in better-than-Gem grades.

This one is graded NGC 65/CAC for what that is worth. A POP 51/13/4 example.

This one came today. I don't know too much about it, but it struck me as pretty cool, and it has a horse on it! :) I'll have to do a little research for this one. The surfaces are very prooflike.

I asked Mark to send me the 1868 3C Nickel, but it was GONE QUICK!

Nice one Leeg!

Here's another NEWP for me.. NGC MS66

Thank You!

I've learned over the year's that a quick decision must be made when Mark's email comes out. I've lost my share too.

A nice "V" there.
