Just received this beautiful mid-grade dollar (NGC-40). The fields are as exceptionally mark-free as they appear in the images and the color is just fantastic in-hand. This is an upgrade from an NGC-10 that I owned for 8+ years, which is in the BST forum.

It's been 3 years since my last post, been busy at work... never stopped collecting. I like colorfully toned anything, especially modern issues. These I have acquired raw over the last 18 months. Just got them back from PCGS and NGC (graded Dec 2010). 25 of 60 toned coins have come back, and here are some of the better ones. I will post more as they come in.

The 57-D Jeff 5c is the very first and only star given by NGC for this date/mm.

The 60-P Jeff 5c is NGC pop 7 - none higher, PCGS 31 in 66, none higher.

The 64 Kennedy MS67 is pop 30 with one finer.

HardTimes - who imaged your 1876 Half ?

Nice looking coin !!

Nice new examples everyone, well done!

Elbesaar, I do all of my own imaging. Sometimes I can nail it when the example is as nice as this one. Sometime I have much room for improvement. I would love to have a few sessions with real experts to help me improvement my photography.

I think you did an excellent job with the image :headbang:

Krypto, the half just sold in two days with a BIN on ebay, so I guess it was imaged well enough to bring its beauty out - as you know from your work, if you have the right coin to image, it can look pretty darned good - don't tell any other sellers that because it is an edge we have over them. ;)

Cheers, HT

I got this one from a fellow board member a day or so before Christmas, it has a nice new home with lots of other orphaned coins! lol

Any the seller gave me some pics but they are too big for this post, so you'll have to settle for mine... doh!

Nice coins everyone.

This Lincoln honors Grandma's Christmas Coin Jar discovery.

The lone Wheat Cent found in the jar was a 52-D. I pick this up for the story.

Now that I think about it, this would have been the perfect winning prize. doh!

Next year!
