MJ
Those are very nicely matched, must have come from the same album! Ironically I was negotiating the V.D.B when a collector/part time dealer I knew came to the same table. I asked him his opinion on the coin as I knew he collects Lincolns. He gave me a green light. I later saw him at his table and he pulled out the 1909. He said. "here's the sister to your coin", with a smile on his face.....MJ
robec1347
What a great looking pair of 1909's. I can't decide which I like better. Probably the same coin with the VDB photoshopped out of the one. (thumbs u

PCcoins
New Frankie What do you think it would grade?
physics-fan3.14
Who's it graded by Jon? NGC - MS-65 PCGS - MS-65FBL Anyone else - MS-66 Whatever it is, I like it alot!
PCcoins
It's Raw. I doubt it would even grade FBL at pcgs, the hit to the right of the crack would prevent that I think.

SkyMan
The strike is a little mushy, but the dings are minimal, the toning is quite good for the date/mm and it appears to have nice underlying luster. Border line 65-6 at both PCGS/NGC. Very attractive coin.

Ah, I didn't notice the hit the first time I looked at it. I thought it was a toning spot.
kryptonitecomics
I agree with others....MS65 shot 66 with better than avg color for the date....looks like someone stuck it in a 1957 or 1958 P-Mint set holder
jpolz
Been a while since I posted anything, 'course it's been a while since I bought anything. Come to think of it, I still haven't bought anything ... I got this from Teletrade using my Gold Rewards points. I've heard a lot of bad things about the free coins you get from them using GR and while this one isn't the nicest 64, I wouldn't try sending it to CAC, but it's really not a bad coin. What do you think? To be fair these pics are hiding a couple of minor flaws on the field. Still, I wasn't expecting something this nice -- or am I looking at this with rose colored glasses? If so, I'm meeting a group of other Barber collectors at Denny's - 9880 International Dr - Thursday - Jan 7th @ 8:30. Send me a PM if you'd like to attend - so I can make a reservation for the correct number . ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- oh... just picked this up at Heritage... Elbesaar
Great pictures with that zoom lens. I think I need to take a course at the local Ritz Camera shop on using my Sony pocket camera - it takes a decent picture - but - I wish I had bought one to use on a camera stand... ------------------------------------------------ Stumbled accross this Half in PCGS 64 I've been searching for an upgrade to my AU 55 and really wanted an AU 58 [ they are nonexistant ! ] So...welcome to Elbesaar's collection ...
