Bully, What a terrific beginning of a collection. I was unaware that these even existed. How cool is that? Australia just rocks (worship)

Well, the hammer just came down this morning so they aren't "in hand" and the seller's pics aren't great, but these are 2 of the first coins I've gotten to buy lately and I wanted to post something. I managed to get them for a little less than the certification would have cost (<$25) + shipping and the seller was "in a good mood" today so I even got a $1.75 discount on shipping. :) These are the first coins in what I call "Wave 3" for my fledgling statehood quarters set. Each "Wave" consists of 2 to 4 coins.

Those are pretty cool coins, Bully. I've heard of the denomination but didn't know that the state quarters were on them. I can see how they could interest a state quarter collector.

For the record, I'm not an expert on the Kookaburra by any means, but I am reasonably certain that the ones which include the State Quarters on them are just a variety. Most don't have that.

--- and to Revenant: Any time I can get additions to my collections to fill Registry slots or what not, like those MS state quarters you just landed, for less than a grading fee, I say, WOO HOO! Seriously, what a bargain! Gotta love that. :applause:

Yesterday I got this nice bust half:

and the day before I got this one for my fledgling Type 2 Liberty set from a fellow board member here (the die breaks on the reverse are pretty cool, not sure if they are clear in the photos):

JTRYKA,

Very nice 1817 CBH - & everytime I see one I imagine

that errant 4 under the 7.Sweet coin - regardless.

Here's an addition to my Trade Dollar collection -

which is in its infancy...[ coin # 2 ] :

Wow, nice skin on that trade dollar, and yes I spent a good amount of time looking for a 4, but then saw the die marriage and gave up.

Too many new coins to comment on, but a lot of very nice material there guys!!! :golfclap:

Here's a fun little Washie I picked up late last year. The images were done by Bob Campbell and I think he did an excellent job. The toning looks quite different depending on how the light hits it...
