SkyMan
Man, stay away from the boards for just a bit and there are a gazillion new pickups. Sorry, I'm not even going to attempt to get them all, but... Texasrichard nice A & R half! Bruce, some really sweet looking Washies!!! Saen78, I like that 1955. It looks quite attractive! MikeInFL, nice pickups from Lee! Zrlevin, those are some good looking type coins! Dwaine, nice coins for your type set! Jtryka, that 1897 is perfect for the hayfever season, good going! For my typeset I picked up last week, before the Santa Clara show, several dollar Type coins; a Sac, an SBA and an Ike. At the Santa Clara show I pickup up a 1914 Barber dime in MS64. scratch under M on slab

rbrown4
Irvin, So any explanation as to why just the obverse on this coin is toned, just interested. It is a very nice looking Morgan in great condition. I like Rey,
Bruceswar
I am sorry to say, but that Morgan looks messed with If you like the coin that is all that maters!

SkyMan
Irvin the toning doesn't look bad to me, although there's definitely something going on under the toning on the cheek/face. I'd like to see the coin in hand before coming to a conclusion one way or another. As to the coin itself, it looks like a fun piece. As long as you didn't pay a major premium for the toning I think you are fine. BTW, here's a really good article on toning: Toning thread As to one sided toning, that is VERY common amongst bag toned Morgans. Basically one sided toning occurs when one side of the coin is exposed to the bag.
rrantique
Thanks for the link Sy,yes it does have contact marks on the cheek,i had forgotten about coins laying in the bags and toning on one side thanks for reminding me. I paid no premium. Less than 63 money.
bsshog40
I agree, the toning looks like it may be covering up some type of build up on the face and neck, and in front of the neck. Would be curious to see the Rev.
