Eynatnom
Found this and really not sure what it is or if it's worth anything. Was hoping to get some opinions and or more details.
EagleRJO
Just looks like a damaged coin if you are referring to the misshapen appearance. It's what would be referred to as a "parking lot coin". Mike Meenderink
Greenstang
Welcome to the forum That is what is known as PMD ( Post Minting Damage) and has a value of 25 cents.
powermad5000
Whether accidental as in a parking lot coin, or intentional as in someone hammered it from the side with the rim, it is severely damaged and only worth face value. It was certainly not produced in this condition at the Mint.
Mooney49
I hear what you all are saying, I'm a newbie too and learning, but i have a distorted coin like this as well. I was told same thing, but I know on mine,It is smooth, yet looks bent, design pooled and stretched. Is there anyway it has something to do with the striking? I was looking jp a strike through error to compare to my sister's coin and I saw image that resembled mine and this coin found today. it seemed like it could be part of those errors. Just curious what the key point I'm missing that says PMD? I'm just wanting to learn. TYIA
Greenstang
It is PMD because it could not have happened during the striking of the coin which is the only time an error can occur. Anything that happens after that is damage, no matter how it occurred. You have to study on how coins are made and what an actual error is if you are going to be looking for errors. The same goes for varieties which is a whole different thing.

RWB
Please stop looking at U-tube videos about coin errors. Almost all are lies and gross exaggerations. Members here will help you in any way they can. They will not lie to you, although they might occasionally disagree among themselves. RonnieR131
J P M
Ride Sally Ride. This coin has been ridden hard and smacked with something tougher than itself. powermad5000
