Still waiting on my submission since 5-17-23.....

Can somebody there get my submission moving! I'm starting to think something is going on and your not telling me. You've had my submission since 5-17-23 and I was told on 6-19-23 that they were "in queue for encapsulation in the slab room". I called on June 29th and was told the same thing and he was going to put a rush on my order since it was well past the 20 day estimated turnaround time. Nothing on the status has changed and I sent another message on July 7th and was told they were still in the qur que and she was going to "investigate on the back end and see what I can do to get it moving". I sent another message this morning 7-12 and didn't get a reply and the status still hasn't changed. The customer service people have been great, but nothing is getting done. This is my first time ever having stuff graded. I have other items set aside for submission and this experience is making me reconsider sending anything else to you for submission. I need answers and just want my tokens back! Can someone please do something to get my order completed and back to me! My submission number is 2900855.

Hello @Qktbird

Thank you for reaching out. I have requested a status check from our grading team. I will contact you directly via email when I have an update for you. I looked up the estimated turnaround time posted at the time of submission, and it was estimated at 31 business days for tokens in the Economy, so I do see that these are running longer, and I apologize for any delay.

I will provide you with an update as soon as possible.

Same problem here, when my submission was delivered to NGC 5/16/23 turnaround time was 26 days. When it was marked received on 5/23/23 turnaround time was 20 days, stayed there for weeks. Then want to 24 days and after a few days want back down to 23 days. I'm a little confused myself. Mine is 34 days or 39 days depending on the date that they use.

Glad to hear I'm not the only one with an order that's way behind. I was beginning to think they misplaced my tokens or something and were just stalling while they figured out what happened. Sorry to hear your waiting so long too, but it eases my anxiety a little knowing someone else is having the same issue with their order. When I shipped my submissions, the turnaround time was listed as 26 days, but soon after my order arrived, it was down to 20 so I figured I would have my stuff back a little faster. I never expected to be waiting twice as long as the estimated turnaround time. Hopefully they get things moving and we get our stuff soon! Another part about this that sucks is that they won't give me the info on what my tokens all graded as. The one person I emailed before said they arent allowed to give that info and it'll be updated online after the order is shipped to me. It jist sucks waiting and then not knowing. All I can see is the list of tokens I submitted, but the grade ingot is all blank. Being my first submission, I really want to know what my stuff graded as and the waiting is killing me. I really hope they get our stuff ahipped very soon!

I collect tokens to, civil war tokens. This is about the 10th time I sent a submission in and they are normally pretty good about turnaround times, within a few days of estimate. But this time the estimated times are way off. Good luck, hope we both get them soon.

Never got any email about the status and the gal I got an email from 3 days ago that said she was going to check on it never got back to me either so I called NGC today before they closed. They are supposed to look into it and gave me a ticket number. Unfortunately I was told it will probably be a couple more weeks before they are done since they have to still be encapsulated, imaged and go through QC and have another grader approve the grades they were given. For the most part, the support has been great, especially when I called in. The people I talked to on the phone were awesome! I'm just really disappointed that it's taking so much longer than their turnaround times said. I can see a few extra days, but when it ends up being more than double the estimated time, it's really frustrating! This is my first time ever having anything graded and slabbed so waiting this long has not been a very pleasant experience and I'm not sure I want to send anything else and have to go through this again. Hopefully someone at NGC looks into this delay and gets my order moving and maybe looks into how many other submissions are way overdue as well. I just really want my stuff to be done and get them back into my collection!

Being this is your first submission to NGC, I would like to relay to you some of my experiences over the last roughly ten years of making submissions. My basic advice to you is once your coins (or tokens) leave your hands, and get on their way, forget about the turnaround times. Know it is going to be quite a while before you get them back. One year I had a submission that I sent in around mid April. Due to several bulk submissions received by NGC at the time, as well as some notable high end submissions, and a shipwreck submission I believe, my small submission got put on the backburner. I got them back that year at the end of November.

Despite the stated turnaround times, NGC has no control over the quantity of submissions they receive at any given time. I do know they do get to them in the order they are received. One year my submission sat in their queue in their vault for over two months before even being accepted into the facility because there was a rash of submissions coming at them all at once.

I learned to just accept that when I submit, my personal window is anywhere from 3 to 6 months. Yes, months. That way, you won't be disappointed, nor will you be trying to hold NGC to strict turnaround times when things happen on their end that is out of their control. When I submit in February or March, I just think of Christmas in July and it makes me happy.

I also usually submit at the CSNS show, which NGC accepts submissions at. The tables are always full of people submitting. And NGC has a schedule of coin shows that they will be at accepting submissions. Be aware of this as well when you are sending in your submission as there could be hundreds of submissions hitting their vault from a coin show. (CSNS, World's Fair of Money, Summer FUN, etc.)

I disagree with you on the turnaround times, they can be adjusted to reflect volumes, and should be at least once a week. It should not say 20 days and then take 4 months.Thats just not a good business model.

I agree 100% berlineagle. They can easily adjust their turnaround times listed on the site and they should have them close to what the actual time will be. They shouldn't be listing the turnaround time as 20 or 26 days and then take 4 months. I can see maybe an extra week or so, but not months. If I had known the actual turnaround time, I may have paid for a quicker service. And, what if someone sent stuff to be graded that was going to be included in a scheduled sale somewhere. If grading times are way off, they might not have stuff that was planned for the sale. Or what about people who pay for a faster service. Are they getting their stuff back on time? I known I would be really upset if I paid for a 1 week turnaround time and it took 2 months to get my stuff back.
