1967 quarter error or not
1 1

Welcome to the NGC chat board.

If you're referring to the mark near the "9", it is post-mint damage caused by a hit by a punch or other tool.  This coin is simply a worn and damaged 1967 quarter.

To learn about mint errors and varieties, so that you may recognize significant ones should you be fortunate enough to find them, please refer to the following resources:

I see a faint 9 on a well worn quarter with a hit that pushed some metal up next to the 9. Post mint damage. Not an error.

Could it be a strike thru or like a dropped letter error

Guessing is a poor substitute for knowledge, if it was even remotely close to either of those two errors the knowledgeable collectors that have already answered you question would have said so.   It is just a damaged coin.

?????????

As it seems you are new to this, I suggest you spend a little time reading on the website error-ref.com. You can also type in mint error in the search box on this website and read the four part series on learning grading - what is a mint error.
