Popular Post Coinzrfun
My favorite coin is the Morgan Dollar. Looking up the VAM is something that keeps it interesting for me. I am not sure if it's just the beauty or the different characteristics that come from each year but I am drawn to them like a moth to a flame. I would like to use this thread to share some of mine with you and hopefully see some if yours. I don't have the best or most valuable collection but it's pretty good. Most of all its a lot of fun. I'll start by posting this one. Common date but pretty coin. powermad5000, robec1347, Coinbuf and 4 others

Popular Post Coinbuf
Morgan dollars are a very iconic coin and have come to be a symbol of the wild west, even if that is not all that true. Still who doesn't like a pretty hunk of silver. Timely, robec1347, R__Rash and 3 others

Popular Post Sandon
Although there aren't any Morgan dollar issues that can legitimately called "rare", the 1894 is certainly one of the scarcer ones. I would say a coin like that will always hold its value. Very impressive.

Perfect, it just appears to be an enhanced photo, maybe you could share an “at hand” photo just for the sharing factor.? The coin is stored in a safe deposit box and isn't available for me to photograph. The Stacks Bowers photos are sharper and less "glary" than the ones I could take with a digital microscope and are a pretty accurate depiction of the coin, which was likely "dipped" and has a somewhat "washed out" appearance. Since @Coinzrfun intended this topic to be for posting photos of Morgan dollars, here are my own photos of an 1879-S "Reverse of 1878" (identified by the concave breast, parallel top arrow feather, and small mintmark), which I bought uncertified back in 1993, when they were relatively inexpensive. NGC recenttly graded the coin MS 62. MorganMan, R__Rash, coastaljerseyguy and 2 others
R__Rash
The OP’s request was to post Your Morgan’s is why with the Stacks And Bowers credit I asked if it was yours. My post was taken today with the IPad while the wife was making her world famous apple Jack D bbq sauce for the racks of ribs on the same counter. Have a good night. With texting, the proliferation of sound bites and Twitter, it is reassuring to see a number of collectors, mostly senior veterans who are sticklers for propriety, providing photo credits, footnotes, references and cross-references. That is professionalism at its finest. R__Rash

I am a byproduct of only my own resources and profess to be no more than that. I appreciate this point of order. Popular Post Coinzrfun
This 1921 is very well struck. It has a full detail strike that is seldom seen I believe. The hair detail is incredible. Even the fine strands that meet her forehead can be seen. I took this picture with a 40mp camera so it does pick up even the slightest tick anywhere on the coin. In the hand and with a loupe it is practically spotless save for a few very minor hits. The 1921's were knocked around quite a bit so finding them in a good stage of preservation can be difficult. It's difficult if not impossible to see in this picture but it has a die crack reminiscent of the "scarface" variety. I made the effort to capture it in a picture. I thought it would be worth a share. Edited May 17, 2023 by Coinzrfun Henri Charriere, Timely, R__Rash and 4 others
