Patman54
I found this in a roll of half dollars I was searching through and found this and others that were almost the same in different rolls I haven't seen this before and was wondering if it is anything or just some sort of external damage. They look light gray in color.
Sandon
This appears to be just a damaged and stained or corroded common coin. Sorry. Oldhoopster
Member: Seasoned Veteran DWLange Posted August 25, 2022 Member: Seasoned Veteran Share Posted August 25, 2022 Remember that our clad coins are mostly copper and thus quite subject to corrosion. Oldhoopster
VKurtB
In the early years of clad halves, “wash marks” were plentiful. They obviously haven’t gone away, but have gotten worse.
