Not sure type of error 0

I was coin roll hunting came across this Washington quarter not sure as the type of error it is not exact when I flip it over either

It does not look like a error more like damage by man or the environment. It has a sand blasted look like a beach coin.

I guess I'm not seeing it that way the coin has to have some other explanation not centered when I flip over either letters or smeared looking

I’m sorry it is just a badly damaged coin. Still worth 25c though.

I agree with damage.  This almost has a "shipwreck effect", which is when saltwater eats away at the coin surface.  I would think that this is either environmental damage, or someone has put the coin in some sort of acid.  Regardless, I feel very confident that this is not an error.

Almost looks dipped with too much time in the acid, but why would somebody dip that coin?

If the eagle isn't straight up when you flip ol' George over, then you have a slightly rotated die error. The rotation is not enough to cause it to be worth a premium, but it is kind of cool. The surface etching, however, is just damage. That did not happen at the mint.
