Black and white picture comes from 2008 online sites announcing 2009 design change. 

1.)The only line that goes through the lower corner of Lincolns jacket are the other side of the stairs.

2.)The other side of the stairs were covered by a bush to fit space scale size on the coin.

I am not sure what you are asking ? Is that hand rail something extra it looks like it is passing through the column not the coat? I hear there are a ton of small errors on these cents. In fact so many that most are really not rare on this set of coins for 2009. I have a bunch of these cents in a bottle but have not started to look through them yet.

One cannot compare struck coins with a drawing.

I’m glad I’m not the only one confused. I read this earlier and figured I was missing something. Below is finished reverse from the US Mint. I see no variation from your coin. Wouldn’t it seem strange if you are looking at a bunch of coins and they are all errors? It would make me pause and think for a bit.
