I have a 1921d Morgan that I have found to have die cracks going all threw it and I have searched vamworld and found one that is really similar but my Morgan also has more cracks than that vam so I dont Know if it's just a later stage of the die? I also traced out on a photo editor the die cracks to help identify it.IMG_20211227_103323_04.jpg.f06cf8956bba0ed36c45ee908b94d899.jpgIMG_20211230_125908_01.jpg.28e8d9dc89862b7bb2f645d991c88c94.jpgIMG_20211227_103342_01.jpg.91c9fcd4fc1b58efdb42f989b4da3159.jpgIMG_20211227_103323_02.jpg.9a1494881c2037647d609b11bf911c70.jpgIMG_20211230_125903_01.jpg.062d2ae77b075479d71da6c388fb614b.jpg254000940_Polish_20211226_1611059892.jpg.505047c0319505cb6c563d8be5715288.jpgPolish_20211228_223940905.jpg.cc74c2049801fd93616113c29a82e8d2.jpg

Welcome to the forum Anthony,  Your 1921 is one of many VAM's for that year. You are the only one who will be able to see all the cracks. Pictures don't show enough for the members here to see them all. It looks like it was a nice Morgan in it's day but from some of the shots it appears to have been cleaned sorry to say.

You'll likely get more specialized attention if you post the coin on VAMworld. This is the URL for the discussion forum.

This is a very good idea, Anthony.  While there are some people here that know VAMs, you would probably have better luck on the specialized forum than you will here.

They charge a little more than here, but hey, it's only "CraptoCurrency" anyway.... :)

If you can post some crystal clear pictures front and back that fill the screen I’ll attempt to help. No promises from pictures. But the only hope is really good ones.

If that isn’t possible I can help try and walk you through narrowing it down. I’d start with identifying which reverse you have. The number of berries is a good start.

So I tryed to get the clearest Pictures possible Wich was an epic fail it really doesn't show the cracks but Ill post them to show and I also took the best picture of what seams to be a die chip Right below the a in America in the wing that shoots a crack Through the wing to ts in trust and to the bottom of a in America and there is 15 berries. Thank you for your help 132994046_IMG_20220101_181514_012.jpg.6fbe913b46f2835d7b31455f39bd7e42.jpg1811695519_IMG_20220101_181514_022.jpg.df0fadcf923dcca51bdd5fc95144781e.jpgIMG_20220101_181514_03.jpg.9be9dc5684b87ca421c9fa4c6cdc1d00.jpg

Sorry I just can’t see nearly enough to even start to be of any help. I also missed this was a Denver Morgan, so the berries aren’t significant. Your best bet is to go through the die crack guide and trying to find a match. They may not be exact matches due to die state of the cracks, but look for the main pick ups. Here is the link to the die crack guide for this one.

I also did not see a D on your first photo. It makes a difference for the reference page. The one I posted for  you was for a P or no mint mark.

VIEWER DISCRETION IS ADVISED...

🐓:  Sounds like a drug deal gone bad!

Q.A.  How's that?

🐓:  References by the OP to "junk" and "steering;" references by a member to "cracks" and "shots."

Q.A.:  The gentleman has a legitimate question.  What enquiring minds -- mainly mine, want to know is the power of magnification used to more readily identify the die break details. This may be a reach but, I think 5x - 7x lenses are used for garden variety grading and exponentially more powerful enlargement enables denticle surgeons to determine whether root canal is indicated. Exhilarating thread!  😉
