I WOULD APPRECIATE ANY FEED BACK REGARDING WETHER OR NOT THIS APPEARS TO BE AN ERROR PLEASE NOTICE RING STAMPED  AROUND INNER EDGE OF BOTH SIDES OF QUARTER ALONG WITH UN READABLE BLOB TYPE MINT MARK AND WHAT APPEARS TO BE A TOUPE TYPE MARKING ON WASHINGTONS HEAD. The ring you see is damage from either a coin rolling machine or vending machine.  The D mintmark could be damage or possibly a die chip.

Not an error.

The D has a broken post which fills the middle and as stated , the rings are from a coin rolling/wrapping machine. There are probably two of these on the ends of any machine wrapped rolls. Spend it, there is no extra value.

i dont know all i know is that the coin seen better days
