Jaggy
Why is it that an UNC Details (due to a couple of light scratches) scores so much less than a coin that is graded F12 despite the fact that the UNC Details is, overall, in far better condition than the F12? An example would be the 1893 Jubilee Head sixpences in the Sixpence, Victoria, 1838-1901, Circulation Issue set. The NGC Registry scoring algorithm calculates a percentage of the score of the similar "regular" graded coin for details-graded coins of all types, US and World coins.
