Notice the three on the 53 is more rounded while on the 43 it is more pointed. Now looks at the overdate coin. It is a good amalgamation of the two.

Underneath the five. Then a regular 1953. Notice the sharp downward break in the five where there should be a curve.

At first glance it looks like doubling on the upper right edges of the one nine give and three, however the numbers are too thick to be doubles. Then there’s the angle under the 5.
