blackfoxDJ
Hi. I would like some opinions about this piece. KM#526 Would it be a modern counterfeit? Antique counterfeit? Its data: 39.1mm x 3.9mm x +-24g Reeded Edge Catalog data (Krause): 38mm x 3mm x 27.7g, Lettered Edge As you can see there's a fingerprint imprinted on it. Any info would be appreciated. Thank you. Insider
I'm going to speculate that it is about 40 years old at least. It is not very deceptive at all and does not look like a modern manufactured piece and not Chinese.
blazeaglory
Interesting. Considering this coin isn't worth much in any state other than BU(MS? Uncirculated?) I couldn't see a modern fake in this condition unless it was some sort of experiment. Possibly a contemporary fake? Or just a very heavily circulated genuine coin? Here is a real uncirculated coin(although a 2 mark) . Notice the edge is ridged. Edited January 5 by blazeaglory
