Comparing the "s" to other 1884-s morgans on ebay, it appears they all have that chunky "S." As far as getting that graded, I wouldn't, as I see a 40-50 dollar coin here. Nice morgan none the less.

I think Pete's right......1884-S Morgans do tend to have a fat, chunky S like the one on your coin.  I actually have one in my bullion pile, and it has that same S.  And Pete's also right about the value, so it's not really worth the expense of certification.  But thinking of the value, my 1884-S may have to go on eBay.......
