Question on the toning on this Liberty Nickel

Cool old slab. I don't know what caused it to tone that way but it doesn't bother me, at least not as much as the nicks on Liberty's cheek on the obverse.

and i bet it was blast white when it got holdered in the early 1990's and has since

"turned" in the holder

Personally, I find the coin just plain fugly.

Sorry, I think I would have waited for a more

pleasing example. God knows, there are quite

a few lower end MS examples out there.

 

If you buy something you really like, then

eventually, when it's time to sell, someone

else will also see the merits of the coin.

 

Who ever bought that coin from HA, will be

regretting it for years to come. JMHO
