You guys and gals did splendid on the Morgan thread but let's see how many nice mercs are out there. If my calculations are correct there should be much fewer Monsters in this thread!!! I'll update this when I get home to my PC with my offering.

Physics,

The reverse on that coin is absolutely beautiful, the obverse......blah, not so much.

I will see what I can dig up in the safe.

Nick

It is a little better in hand when the luster shines, but overall, yeah, I agree with you.

It was the reverse that really convinced me of this coin - it is stunning.

Picking a favorite for me is actually harder than I thought. I am quite fond of this one. Looks far better with luster swirling behind it but unfortunately its not captured in the photo IMG_20130917_220412_zps61384e2a.jpg

I have others but not near as attractive as these two. Better pictures when I find my real camera. Right Bob? :)

Dang it, the pictures aren't showing :( It is hell being so computer illiterate :censored:

As some have noted it is tough to pick. I only own two anymore but they are the ones I've owned the longest. The 18-S just had a nice antique look to it. Bought it raw from Stacks at the Long Beach show in 1994. The 19-S is VERY close to FB and it still (as far as I know) the rarest date in MS (all coins not just FB). So I'll show both....

All things considered, I would like to have TomB's 39-D MS68 FB
