I just read Bower's book "Adventures with Rare Coins" on the advice of RWB.....an awesome book. It was published in 1979 and it's interesting to see how much things have changed since then.....but still very, very informative. GOD BLESS...

I think they are are all weak in whole. There are some well written articles if you pick through the rubble. I like the Rosen Subscription Newsletter as a fun read. MJ

COINage has a enough good articles to make a subscription worthwhile. Since I'm more into history their "time capsule" articles are quite interesting to me. Tom Delory also contributes so good reseatch articles.

I like Coin World a lot, b/c they have good articles but they also have a LOT of national dealer offerings for sale. I enjoy 'The joys of Collecting' by QDB and also the 'Market Analysis' column.

I get Coin World, Numismatic News, and the Numatist. I will read each one cover to cover in a single day. I just really want more. I read all the time and the worst is searching for something new

I always look forward to getting the weekly e-mail of the E-Sylum link . It's free and there are a ton of back issues on their website.

I also like the E-Gobrecht, which is e-mailed monthly, I think. It's also free and there are also back issues on SeatedDimeVarieties.

The Gobrecht Journal is very good, too.

The Numismatist has been getting better lately.

Coin World is available as on-line only; I don't know about the others.

Have you considered having your numismatic mail go to a PO Box?

Coin World ships in a black plastic bag so you can't tell what's inside. Postman probably thinks I'm waiting for porn mags to come every month! lol

.....and the 1917 Type 1 SLQ centerfold goes straight up on the workshop wall :baiting:GOD BLESS....

Well if I subscribed to a first magazine that would be all of my numismatic mail lol....unless you mean the coins themselves in which case, yeah I should do that. But not really buying that much lately to justify a box.
