The problem for me it is one of several...I can think of two Mercs and this one. Since this is my avatar I suppose I'll go with this...

I've owned the coins just over 10 years (the Mercs I've owned nearly 20). Value? I don't know. It's graded MS66 by PCGS and now has a gold CAC sticker. Is it really 67? Don't know...don't care. No plans on selling it anytime soon.

This was a surprise gift from my sister. 1912 S

The 1888 is the highest quality Lib I own. It also holds the biggest WOW factor when I opened the package.

That '88 is spectacular OP (thumbs u

Edit: come to think of it, an '88 V nickel was the first coin I ever owned. It was in a box of old coins my grandparents owned. I begged my grandmother for it so she gave it to my for birthday. Maybe 11th? It was a solid VF.

I can narrow it down to six.

1916-S--I love it, b/c it's the sharpest, most original one that I've seen.

1917-S Obv.--It appeared to me after years of searching----I was soooo lucky to find such a nice example of this KEY in the series.

1919-S--It cost me more in time, heartache & money to acquire this coin than any other in my set has or probably ever will. It also taught me more about the series than any other issue. I feel it is a very choice PQ piece and I have yet to see one that I like better for the grade----I have looked long and hard. :makepoint:

1920-D--So rare.....I was LUCKY to find such a sharp example.

1923-S--so lucky to have acquired it. I missed the opportunity to buy the sharpest, nicest near gem OGH that I'd ever seen only to find this one that I liked EVEN BETTER. I won it in the month of August and it arrived on my birthday. What a gift!!!

1927-S--I paid DEARLY for it (TOO MUCH) but it's the nicest I've seen in ANY grade.

I won't bore you with the images, as I've posted them ALL very recently. They are all in my Registry set, in my signature line, if you get really curious.

1805 Dime in AU-58 ... This coin introduced me to high quality early coinage and my interest exploded from there. Given the look and eye appeal I'd say that this one is worth $4,500 to $5,000.

I think people will be hesitant on putting a dollar figure to a coin in general

but my favorite has to be my most expensive or close to it.

I've posted this coin here several times before, but since it fits in with the topic, I'll post it again.

It is a homage to my grandparents who got me into coin collecting and gave me a complete set of IHCs for my 8th grade graduation. The set was in the AG-VG range and the 1877 was cleaned (a fact I didn't discover till much later). I sold the set a while ago and bought this beauty. Not my most valuable, but highly treasured. In an old, no line fatty holder:

This one is certainly my most treasured coin. It is PCGS 64 SecurePlus with the CAC green sticker. I value it around $18,000. Notice it is the 1808/7 overdate.

Many of you are probably surprised to see this corroded 1810/9 Large cent as a most valued coin .

Reason – I have hand this coin for 43 years since I was 12 years old , probably should have kept it raw but I decided to have ANACS certify it . A lot of sentimental value for this one.

The 1795 FH is a coin I have always wanted and is the favorite in my collection.

The 1799 Bust ranks as my number 2 – beautiful original coin.

Values ?? just look them up on line .
