So tell us...what's so odd about the set you're putting together?

Here's a hint. Other coins in the set include an 1811 half cent, 1847 Seated dollar, 1787 Fugio cent, 1759 8 Reales, and 1879-S Morgan. I'm hoping to add a nice, XF 1823 Bust half, 1871 2c, and 1889 Indian cent.

Is that the answer, or are we supposed to guess the theme? :)

The year that each coin in the collection comes from is a prime number?

My goodness.

Correctly answered very quickly by a Bruin.

I personally am embarrasssed.

I will work on not allowing that to happen again.

Respectfully,

John Curlis

Turns out there are only a couple types that can't be represented in this set, most notably the Standing Lib. quarter. You also get to avoid going broke in 1793 and can have a huge selection of possibilities for 1873. 1783 and 1787 are great years for colonials, while 1777 and 1789 will send me looking for stuff like a colonial Spanish escudo and a Mott token. 1759-1913 would give me 20, but I'll probably go from 1759-1949 for a nice even 23 (or 1723-1951 for 29).
