1937 S Texas NGC 65 Prooflike

I recently purchased a prooflike Texas commem half. They are seldom seen. The only ones I found were 2 66's that went for 4K+. I was wondering if any else had one of these?

As a well known lover of Prooflikes, I would love to see this coin you bought. Texas doesn't often come in PL, but alot of commems do.

I bought it off a dealers website and the pictures of the coin were taken down right away. I should have the coin middle of next week and will have pictures then.

Here is one Texas 1937-S NGC MS66PL that sold in 2007 for $4,300.

There was a Bagne 66 that sold for $4887.50 in Dec of 09. I bought my 65 PL from the Bozarths who are in Philly.

The NGC PL Classic Commemoratives vary considerably in their prooflike surfaces. Some issues don't really look PL to most people, but NGC says they are PL.

 

I have never seen a Texas NGC PL in hand. The 1892 Columbian NGC PLs most always look truly prooflike, while the 1893s have noticeably less prooflike look.
