Storm's comin'. GTG on this common Morgan

18 posts in this topic

I'll probably be imaging coins today (especially if the storm interrupts my Direct TV service) I received this Morgan from Heritage earlier this week and finally got around to snapping some photos.

Sooooooooooo,

Guess the grade on this 1882-s Morgan

I didn't see the smaller images, and I now see that I was being a bit harsh (the magnification exaggerated the marks on the cheek). Based on the smaller, life size images, I would say MS66 - MS66+ personally.

Well, with Hurricane Irene being a pain in the butt, I have to use Heritage's washed out slab photo to reveal the grade. Overrall, I'm happy with the grade but I'm happier with the way my photos came out. They definitely show more of the coin's gorgeous luster even if my lighting highlights the marks on Lady Liberty's cheek/jaw.

And as always, thanks for looking & thanks for your guesses.
