I'm almost embarrassed to ask this, but for some reason my eyes are not working tonight. Can someone help me figure out if this 1979-P SBA Dollar is the Far Date/Narrow Rim or the Near Date/Wide Rim?

Page 229 of the Red Book (65th ed/2012) shows images of both types, but I still cannot figure out which one I have.

I am leaning towards Far Date/Narrow Rim, but just need other opinions... Thanks in advance.

It is much easier to tell the difference with the pic being further back to see the whole coin. Here is both.

Awesome! It was a long day at work and my eyes were not helping me here.

This coin (below) is available for purchase and they claim its the Wide Rim. Thoughts? If so, what would you pay for it?

Looks like they are going for about $8-$10 UNC Raw. The slabbed coins are going for roughly:

AU58 - $20

MS64 - $50

MS65 - $70

I got my MS66 for $100.

Book value for an MS67 (low pop) is around the $1K - $1200 range.

PS (edit) - That picture you posted is a Wide Rim. I personally wouldn't probably pay more than around $5 or $6 for a Raw one (site unseen)...there are lots of them around.
