Post a raw coin that cost you less than $100.

With all the fancy schmancy coins on this website, let's face it, there's something about a simple inexpensive raw coin (particularly if you can cherrypick it) that is really the basis of coin collecting. Post a raw coin that you like that cost you less than $100. This one cost me $30.

Here is a coin that I paid $42 for a couple of years ago, had it conserved by NCS and it slabbed PF61. Had some major crud around the outer rim areas.

This was raw when I bought it, and you can't get too much cheaper unless you paid face value for a penny, nickel, dime, quarter or another half dollar. It costed me 68c and the only other one known to exist for this date/mm sold raw on eBay for $555 in 2005.

here's another one of it's brothers. (you'll have to excuse the white balance, I was just learning when I photo'd these).

And I thought I'd throw a buff in I got for $35 a couple months back at a local B&M.

Got this 1873-CC half for $50 back in the 1970's. Still have it. And it is authentic. Now that's a good deal!

Here's a couple that I purchased raw from my local shop. The 1883O was purchased for $50. If I remember correctly the 1878 was purchased for $80.

Bought these raw for a few bucks in 1992. Then left them in a Dansco holder for 15 years or so... :o
