If the images are accurate, then the coin seems overgraded.

Impossible, it has a CAC sticker.

the lighting and photos are terrible

looks overgraded to me also

but in hand it might AT BEST BE just an average solid for the grade coin

but something i would never bid on unless i would see it in hand and i would not bother i would just pass on this ugly coin

Oh yes;

"it has been graded by PCGS the #1 gradeing service in the world also sent to CAC for it's second set of graders. You can use the price guide www.pcgs.com While your here please check out all the other items in my store..Full details read below"

Why are we discussing this insufficiently_thoughtful_person? Or his ugly coin?

Given that it's an MS-65 graded coin, I'm disappointed with that straight scratch that on Ms. Liberty’s cheek. I know that photos can over emphasize some defects, but that is a focal point of the coin, and if you are going to grade it MS-65, it really should not be there. I think the coin is totally maxed out at MS-65, and I’m not so sure that it deserves the green football.

If the images are accurate, it certainly is a low end MS65 and does not deserve the CAC sticker.

This title "CAC-Certified-Undegraded?" is the fruition of a point I made a few months ago in another thread. The ambiguity that comes with calling a coin "MS65+" or giving it a sticker opens up the field for people to exaggerate the quality on purpose, or even innocently assume that it MUST be undergraded.

Let's not forget also that he is charging $22.50 to send in a flat rate box which costs less than half that amount. No remarks about insurance either.

It is over $250 so you are required as per eBay and Paypal.

If you add insurance and signature confirmation it comes up to $22 to ship the coin.

If you click on the shipping and payments tab you would be able to read this statement

Items are shipped by usps priority small flat rate box $4.95 also a signature comformation $2.40 Ebay rule. Shipping includes cost to insure item 2nd item up to 4lbs ship free only handling fee per coin. If you have questions please ask

I don't see anything that jumps out at me from the less than stellar photo's that says it's not a 65....the mark on the cheek might be more of an abrasion vs a scratch etc. Also market grading very often comes into play with CC morgans...I know it's not a popular idea but we do know it exists with carson city morgans.

Finally the fact that the professionals at both PCGS and CAC saw the coin in hand and blessed it with 65 is a little to much for me to overlook. That's a lot of professionals looking at it saying it's a 65 for me to believe they all got it wrong.

Look we all have our own standards so maybe it doesn't meet your standards for a 65...very possible, but based on PCGS/CAC criteria...it made the cut. (thumbs u

The biggest problem I have with the coin is it's blast white.....

The old-schoolers among us cringe at the idea of a gem with marks on the cheek. The grading services are not as particular. The coin looks clean otherwise, and so they graded it MS65 anyway, but the placement of the marks is supposed to mean something. MS64 would not be fair, but I still question its A or B status for the grade.

Marks on Morgan dollars are like putting prices on land. There are three factors: location, location and location. A mark of the cheek is a biggy. I had a dealer lecture me on Saturday about why an MS-64 Morgan dollar I sold him wasn't an MS-64, and it had a cleaner cheek than this piece.

Not better than MS-63. Do they sell green stickers at the "Dollar Store?"
