Nice lunch provided by NGC at the FUN show

31 posts in this topic

I attended today's lunch provided by NGC at the FUN show. I was expecting some cold sandwiches and a fruit plate. They provided a wonderful lunch with chicken, beef stir-fry, fruit and dessert. I was very impressed. Then they gave away some new sample slabs (containing coins smile.gif). One was the new giant 5 state quarter slab. The quarters they selected were nice too. Around 40 board members attended. I met several people including NGC's CEO. I think everyone enjoyed it.

Hi Lucy. I didn't know you post on NGC too.

Tom B. Too bad you could't come to the FUN show. I'm lucky to live very close, so I can leave work and go over and spend some time there like having lunch with NGC. Too bad I'll have to move soon for a new job.

I love the big NGC sample slab. It contains the 5 2003-P quarters all in nice BU. Then the insert has the title Message board luncheon, FUN 2004. What a nice giveaway by NGC. Plus they gave 2002 German 20 cent euroes in another sample slab. I've never had a sample slab before and now I have the biggest one ever made. smile.gif

Yes, a wonderful event provided by NGC. Food was good. Got to meet several new forum members. Got to see some of the coins recenly salvaged from the US Central America and they gave a nice little talk on the coins.

Thanks again NGC..

Thanks to all who put the energy into the luncheon. It was a quite nice. The 5-coin sample slab was a great touch. It's the first time I've examined one, and I appreciate the gesture. As usual, nice folks. Dena is a superb ambassador for the company. She made me feel quite welcome. The shipwrecked gold was quite a treat.

The NGC luch was truly one of the highlights of my FUN experience. Dena is a fantastic person, as already stated. She and the NGC crew did a fantastic job. I thought the food was excellent, hell, they even had an open bar! Too bad I can't drink frown.gif . The large sample slab and the standard slab with the Euro .20 was really cool!

I also feel quite honored to have had the privledge to be one of the first to see some of the coins from the SS Republic. What an opportunity.

Five Stars for NGC!!!!!!!!!!!!! thumbsup2.gif

Next year the show will be in Ft. Lauderdale for just one year. I hope to make it. This year was my first FUN show. I really enjoyed it. Everyone seemed upbeat.

Thank you to everyone who attended our luncheon at the FUN show. It was great to meet everyone and we hope to see you all again soon.

Thank you also to Todd and Robert Abbey of Cameo CC who generously offered a prize in a drawing of all of the attendees of the luncheon. Richard Jewell is the lucky winner and will receive an 8oz Silver Coaster from Cameo CC!

Just a random thought - is this the same Richard Jewell whose life became a living hell following the bombing at the 1996 Atlanta Summer Olympics for which he was wrongly made a suspect?

I was wondering the same thing, but did not want to ask. 893scratchchin-thumb.gifconfused-smiley-013.gif
