On what date did Legal Tender notes become redeemable in Gold?

Congress then passed the Resumption Act, directing the Treasury to redeem any paper money presented for redemption after January 1, 1879. The money was to be redeemed in coin, at pre-Civil War gold parity

 

I didn't submit an answer to this question, but in researching it, this is the only reference I was able to locate regarding the redemption of notes for gold. Just wondering where the answer of February 28, 1878 can be found.
