Will NGC grade counterstamped coins?

Does anyone know it NGC will grade or holder the1993 Middle East Peace Accord or 1978 Camp David Peace Summit counterstamped coins?

I have asked the "Ask NGC" forum and haven't heard back yet and thought someone on this forum might have had a counterstamped coin graded by NGC.

Someone else may Moosesr. I don't know. It usually takes NGC a couple days or so to respond from the forum.

I had a couterstamped silver panda that they would not grade. I had it put in an NCS slab with details grade.

NGC will at least encapsulate counterstamped 19th century and earlier coinage and then label the piece as a token, but I do not know if they will do so for newer coinage.

Basically, if the coin was counterstamped by an actual legitimate mint or government, yes they will slab it. If it was counterstamped outside the mint, no.
