    First "smellable" coin ? there is one from the Rebublic of Palau I see out now too.. but that is an ocean coin

    For thousands of years "Cannabis Sativa" or Marijuana has provided most of man's needed supplies, even food for entire nations. Virtually everything the body needs is provided by hempseed. Amazing ? not really. We eat just about every other plant/fruit and some flowers

    R. C. Bell's "Trademen's Tickets and Private Tokens" has the following snippet on this piece.

     

    "The coining presses were hand operated by two men, and the flans were placed on the lower die by a boy.

    A skilled team could strike forty coins a minute, and as the flans were hot, and the work strenuous

    a minimum of clothing was worn, the boys often being naked."

    Commercial copy stand is a must. Don't mess around, get something secure to put your camera on. Mine has light fixtures and works nicely. The Kaiser reprokid. Some will want the version without lights (I did) which is cheaper, and move your lights around manually

     

    Loupe - Bausch & Lomb 5x aspheric slide out.

     

    Halogen lamp ! any incandescant light source, and use it in a dark room. You cannot properly check your coin surfaces without a proper lamp

     

    NGC slab boxes ! these go great even in a small safe. I can stand 6 on end in mine = 120 coins, plus some extra stuff (mahogany slab boxes)
