Well, I won't have coins or pictures for another week I guess but I just sent off payment for a half set of Lunar Dollars. Another CS member offered me the coins for a really nice deal so I'm going to be getting the Goat, Monkey, Rooster, Dog, Pig, and Ox for $150 to add to the Horse I have already.

Don't you just love it when this kind of stuff happens?!
You kidding? I think these are the moments that most of us live for!

I'm just stunned at the moment. I was trying to win another coin and ended up winning this 1982 Large Date Zinc Cent in MS67 for $15 AFTER shipping. This is a Pop 16 TOP POP cent! I didn't even realize what I was bidding on at the time! I thought it probably had a pop in the hundreds and I wasn't even sure I wanted to bid. Now I'm estatic!
Edited to add: I can't read a chart straight. It's a Pop 129 with 16 finer, But this is still a big win IMO. I'm still exceptionally pleased.

Well, the hammer just came down this morning so they aren't "in hand" and the seller's pics aren't great, but these are 2 of the first coins I've gotten to buy lately and I wanted to post something. I managed to get them for a little less than the certification would have cost (<$25) + shipping and the seller was "in a good mood" today so I even got a $1.75 discount on shipping. These are the first coins in what I call "Wave 3" for my fledgling statehood quarters set. Each "Wave" consists of 2 to 4 coins.

Those are seriously cool, Bully!

The way PCGS categorizes coins is such that Roosevelt dimes are series 32 and the 2000-P dime without full bands is coin number 117. Overall, this 2000-P Roosevelt dime corresponds to coin number 5199 in the PCGS database and its grade is 68. Therefore, 5199.68 indicates exactly what coin this is and what the grade is.
Cool. Thanks!

I guess you could call them christmas presents to myself but I've just ordered a P&D set of NGC MS65FDI Madisons and a 2006 W Silver Eagle in NGC MS69. I can't wait to get them. (These are additions sets that are part of my primary focus at the moment, they're both in my sig line)

What's exciting about this coin was the price: $1.00, plus tax, total $1.08 shipped.
Very nice. Mine only cost $99 and no tax or shipping.
Mine cost me $8.20, but it had an MS65 instead of BU on it.
Mine was about $7.

Well, I picked these up from Dwaine last week on ebay for a song. I was shocked when they closed so low.
-
Thanks for the help the only reason I asked is that dont really care for there holders
If the holder really bugs you then you could go ahead and cross it, but be prepared for it to drop to 69. Either way the distinction between a 69 and a 70 isn't going to change much, even NGC 70s don't seem to get much more than melt.

I guess this is not my day to be on the forum. Later guys!!!!!!!!
We're sorry, Bobby. Us forumgoers are just being mean and tricky today I guess.

I like the 1922 and the 1890-S, Dwaine! Nice shiney coins.

I'm pretty sure you're talking about Elbesaar.

From the pics I'd say that's a pretty good MS- 63.
My grading is pretty worthless after MS 62/63 so I can't offer much of an opinion there. I just saw it and decided that I liked it and bid on it. The seller had set the starting bid so high that I was the only bidder but I was okay with the price tag.

Nice picks everyone! (thumbs u
I'm all the more frustrated that I can't share the pic of my new West Point Bicentennial Commem. The merchant sent it to my permanent address instead of my college address as I had requested.

Yes well I have a heck of a collection to rebuild after my divorce........I don't like to waste time
That's it. IF I ever get married I'm getting a pre-nup.

Man, the mailman was chincy today....only one coin
The reverse on this coin is amazing.....easily an MS67/MS68 as without the aide of a loop I can only see two small hits on the whole surface
Shane, you need help. You seem to be in the final, crippling stages of your addiction.

Those are awesome flying eagles. There just aren't really words for it.
As for me, I'm continuing the try an build a SHQ set on a shoe-string budget. This weeks "target of opportunity" is pictured below. If the coin isn't in the grade I want or if it'll cost more than about $15 after shipping I consider it a "no go." That really restricts my buying opportunites but I still hope to eventually have either a top 50 or top 75 set (I'm trying not to get too ambitious, yet).
