  1. I have many coins that I would like to sell through eBay. I am trying to figure out how to send coins with values between $10 and $50 to destinations in the US and the Netherlands. The post office told me that sending a regular 8x5 bubblewrap envelope to the Netherlands would require customs and a $20 coin would then cost $21 to ship. When I imported collection this was free since they are antiques. How can I ship them back without customs?
  2. I have the same middle tier membership. My first ever submission was already $350 all together. If I upgrade will that automatically be applied to next submissions? I also am planning to get a lot of ungraded coins to NGC for grading.
  3. Thank you for your advice, but I only added a copy of the documents for your information. You are welcome to discard it after grading.
  4. Hi Nicki, I sent the coins for grading and conservation in the non-pvc flips. Made sure that bubble wrap would prevent them moving around and put this in a bubble wrap envelope that was made immobile by bubble wrap in a sturdy sealed box. Let's hope it works. The form mentioned to add as much info about the coins as possible, so apart from the obvious I added the original bill from the auction place where my father bought the coin set in 1979. Plus pictures of the original set box and the coins while they were in the box. I did not send the box itself, since it does not provide any protection during shipping. I am looking forward to the grading process. If this works well I do have more coins that deserve grading and conservation care. Thanks for your and Kailee's help!
  5. Thank you, Kailee! I checked out these coin capsules. They seem OK for certain types of coins, but get mixed reviews. Seem not to hold the smaller cons very well and are mentioned to sometimes be PVC. Do I understand you correctly, that I can send these coins in the non-PVC flips? I could put them in flips and then put them in the original red box. They would not be able to move around and I can then put the number on paper in every coin flip's other half. Does NGC have enough experience with receiving these type coins to know that it will not damage them? Sorry for asking so much. I have no experience and this would be the first set that I am sending to NGC for grading.
  6. Hi Kailee and anyone who knows how to package these, the diameters of the coins are: 19 mm for the 1/2 sovereign, 22 mm for the 1 sovereign, 28 mm for the 2 pounds and 38.6 mm for the 5 pounds coin.
  7. That is the problem. These coins are in a velvet lined red box, with a pocket for each of the 4 coins. They would certainly move around during shipment and get on top of each other. Problem is that I don't like to just put them loosely in a plastic flip. Do you know if I can buy anything that would hold only the edge of each coin and protect the faces?
  8. I have a 4 coin set of cameo proof coins. I would like to send them in for grading, but I don't want to simply put them in non-pvc flips. I am afraid the cameo finish would be damaged by being pressed to the plastic of the flip. How can I send them safely?
