  1. I was just going to jump into this thread today and wine about not having any recent purchases...at least no purchases for my collection but plenty for my part times sales on Ebay and then low and behold I saw this beauty and jumped on it as fast as I could :whee:

I used to see nicely toned merc dimes all the time for quite reasonable prices and now that I own none.....I don't see colorful examples and when I do they are priced higher than gold bullion :pullhair:

  2. Thomas Cork was a dealer who amassed quite a collection of colorful Morgans. Many years ago he approached PCGS and NGC about slabbing the coins with his pedigree and they politely declined so he worked out a deal with PCI and the rest is history. There are some monster coins floating around in PCGS/NGC holders that used to reside in these T.Cork PCI's including the TCCS icon coin that Ron Sirna bought many years ago.

I am probably one of only a handful of collectors even know about this guy let alone would pay a premium for a coin in a PCI holder with the pedigree but I was happy to find it as this is only the 2nd I have found on Ebay in 5 years. I was high bidder on the other one but the seller told me he had aleady sold it at a show so he never shipped it even though I paid etc.

  3. That's the sharpest fugio I've seen. Is there a grade on that? Either way, very nice (thumbs u

PCGS AU55. I got outbid on the MS62 @ the B&M auction ... that I happened to have sold to the owners of the Julianna Rose collection a couple of years ago. This one I just picked up on ebay ...

BTW - it is only a New Haven Restrike ...

I used to own a 63RB in PCGS OGH......loved that coin. For those that don't know how to tell the difference right off the bat....the rings on the reverse are much thinner than on the normal fugio's (thumbs u

You use my image of the obverse as your avatar across the street
