That Oregon is a stone cold killer...super eye appeal (thumbs u

They are rare as hens teeth as the old saying goes. I have seen a couple of high grade dolalrs with the speckled rainbow toning that are quite nice but nothing that looks like banded rainbow Morgan and nothing that looks 100% legit like this coin so you have an exceptional piece or Peace...for sure

I seriously had to keep my collector hat under lock and key with that coin around as every fiber in my body was screaming keep it
I have never seen a true rainbow Peace dollar like that in person and I have been to plenty of shows. The dealer I got it from did not want to sell it either and it wasn't even in his case. He overheard me asking another dealer about toners and he just wanted to show me the coin. I asked him if it was for sale and he told me I couldn't afford it....so I said how much and after I was able to swallow again I pulled out the cash
To be honest, I was a bit surprised that you didn't keep it for your personal collection. By any chance, would you happen to have any information on the Patriot Pedigree? Are there a few more of these out on the market or tucked away in collections? My search has been fruitless.
I couldn't find anything either so it might have been a submitter with a large collection that paid extra to have that notated on the holder.....at least that is the speculation?

Looks like a nice accurately graded Nickel Paul (thumbs u

Here's a couple of newps I picked up recently. A 1913-S I call Mr, Frosty and another ms-66 type 1 with a wart looking thing on Iron Tails chin. I think this is a first generation NGC holder....Joe
Nice coin but the holder is a 3rd or 4 generation NGC holder. The first gen is the NGC black insert, then come the all white lable with the gold embossing on the white insert and then on the outside so this is no earlier than a 3 (thumbs u

I think you did an excellent job with the image

Coinman, have you been buying all of Shane's junk!!
-
Wow looks like folks are buying up all the good stuff

Here is a nice NGC 2.1 slab with a pretty toned 1955 Frankie in it. These holder while not impossible to find are very tough these days and the premiums the plastic brings is growing each year

Received yesterday from Tipisco Coin. Do you think it will cross?
I vote yes and welcome to the forums (thumbs u

That star Morgan looks like a 63 to me...congrats on the star as I feel it's deserving but a lot of these aren't getting them these days and a lot of dogs are (thumbs u

Ok, 1 question, then back to coins! Is that yours?
Don't I wish....I have never owned any early Action comics....a bit out of my price range...but I did have a aweet copy of Superman #13 that I sold last year
-
Great cover on a super tough book....then again must of the early Auction issues had great covers
-
You know I need to know what comic book....I am well aware that covers and pages from super rarities like Action comics #1, Batman #1, Detective Comics #27 etc sell for big money as folks are always trying to restore these books and using original pieces is preferable to recreated covers etc.....so which book

You can still find the NGC 2.0 with relative ease...but the 2.1 is a tough bird for sure and I paid $200 for this one.
I bought 2 Roosevelt in the 2.1 holder for $12 each.
You got to love ebay some times!!
Pics???

I just sold this 21-D but it will allow someone to start posting Morgans... (thumbs u

Shane - that is a very nice Morgan - but is the holder
a tough one to locate ? I know the Black Insert Holders
are very scarce - but is this a tough to locate holder as well ?
There are quite a few that believe it's rarity is on par with that of the black slab but becuase the insert is white and the scarcity is only now become realized over the past couple of years....the demand hasn't driven the price up to the levels of the NGC 1.0. You can still find the NGC 2.0 with relative ease...but the 2.1 is a tough bird for sure and I paid $200 for this one.

Here is the merc from my type set
Great giveaway ....count me in

Nice pickup Shane.
Ps 64++
I think it would get the gold bean if submitted to CAC but the real value is in the holder anyway
