  1. So, so far I’ve been using non latex non blah blah blah medical gloves to handle my coins. Should I switch to cotton?
  2. You've got it spot on haha. I'll most definitely need all of it. Especially the quarter sized ones because I've got a mulriple GIANT follis looking type coins from the byzantine era. Thanks again Tom! Never fail to come in with the info I most need!
  3. Definitely fair enough. Hopefully that caliper gets in soon so I can post weight and diameter
  4. what are you looking to pick up, ancients wise? ancients are the only thing I collect and it will probably stay that way. I honestly don't understand the appeal of modern coins.. just me in MOI
  5. Yes!! Literally launched the coin somewhere. Still haven't found it, it will show up though. All it took is one soft bang with the hammer and the whole case basically shot open and launched the coin LOL
  6. thanks G brad! As I have no idea what kind of flips (meaning whether they have pvc or not) my coins are in has always bothered me. I’ll definitely be buying some from wizard!!
  7. I’m 24, 25 in feb. Ofc I’m gonna continue collecting, got a lot of years ahead:) and thank you for the info now I can com back to this and reference it I need to
  8. so these holders are completely useless? I unfortunately only have one coin I can pull out of the whites. (which I believe is a tourist coin from Rome, again unpaid for) I can pull out of because I currently don’t have any other plastic coin flips to put them in, but thanks JKK I will try your method out. I have all sorts of sized coins in these flips but nothing to transfer them to. I’ll have to order a box of non pvc plastic holders when I can. Question JKK. Of eyeing it alone what do you think the grade of this coin is? as you’re the resident expert on ancient coinage figure why not ask
  9. Dude get this. Cracked it very easily with a light tap of a hammer, and it exploded and shot the coin away. Still can’t find it and it was just a tap! hahaha I wish my fiancé had recorded it
  10. Will do! I've been super excited for my first slab crack we'll see what once its cracked ]
  11. Luckily I didn't spend any money on this one, just came extra with some loose roman coins Idk your experience level but I see you're a seasoned vet, you really think this case could fool you? I'm legitimately curious because honestly it looked fake to me from the get go bc it looks so faded I mean the dude can't even buy himself a new ink cartridge lmao, but, I've only dealt with NGC slabs. Not versed on any other company atm
  12. So it's totally cool if I crack this case right? Because it's a b.s. company?
  13. are you mostly a U.S. coinage collector? I highly recommend acquiring some ancient coins, whatever you're favorite civ.
  14. So since the case is worthless, should I crack it? Curious about the coin inside because I didn’t buy it and the label just says “constantine the great era” and looks like a woman so it has intrigued me
  15. Yep luckily this was an extra from a lot of coins I bought and so is not a total loss, but the info on the grading companies in super appreciated I haven’t seen anything graded by either yet but I’m sure I will I’ve got a lot of years of collecting ahead of me 😂 and i totally agree about not always paying for a premium
  16. Dude I think I’m gonna pull the trigger on one thank you. It took me right to coins of his era
  17. Ehh nvm guys I think i’ve found the answer. It’s pretty clear on the internet should’ve dug just a little harder before posting.
  18. The question is the title. I tried looking INB up to look up the serial # but found some very angry articles and posts about INB
  19. man the things I’d do to get my hands a Caligula coin no matter denomination.. Now that I think about it I haven’t seen a single coin of Caligula for sale (though I'm definitely not looking everywhere)..one day hopefully!! Little boots gets a bad rap IMO
