Welcome to the hobby that tells one to ask any question you'd like than almost beats you down for not knowing what it is you have. I'm not for sure if you've used Coppercoins.com or not but its an awesome place to look for anything doing with Lincoln Cents. its close to RPM-002, and 003 sort of depends on which picture you look at and what die stage the picture was taken. Good luck on your path of coin collecting and I'm glad to see your in it for the collecting and educating yourself and not just for making $$$$$$.

Hello all, I purchased several rolls of 1964-D Jefferson Nickels several have RPM on them and match this one. I'm having trouble making identification on this one and saying for sure its the FS-501 in a LDS or another die thanks,

EagleRJO, the 1919 Mercury dime wasn't discovered until the early 80's and wasn't published until 2015, so it doesnt seem out of the ordinary that a 46 year old coin would just be found

Here's my 1976-S 40% silver graded by ANACS at a MS65 DDO-001, compare they Y and the IN GOD to the Denver and they could alomost be twins. The polish doubling got me a coulpe times when I fisrt started my collection but I hope that I'm past that .

Hello, found this today in a mint set, it reminds me of the 76-s DDO but this is a Denver, figured I'd share it with everyone and get some thoughts

Curious about this VAM it's seems like some really good doubling on the profile, and tripling on the motto, to not be recognized. I'm just looking for some insight on how let's say a 1891-P VAM-02 is on the top 100 list and this isn't.

The E R T Y in liberty isn't doubled? They display splitting in the serifs on the uppers
-
I believe this is the DDO-1 off of Varity Vista. The question I have is would it be better to send this into ANACS to have it attributed rather than NGC since they don't have it listed in the variety plus section? Thanks

2014 Virginia quarter Post mint or ??

Hello, looking for opinions on this one, when I first seen it I thought for sure post mint damage but the more I looked at it the more I've convinced myself that it may not be IDK. What do you guys think? The way the lines start and stop is what has me questioning it, the way the scratches don't cut through the whole design in some places is what I'm questioning. Thanks -

Hello again, I found this when i first started collecting about 1.5 years ago I'm pretty sure it's doubled would like your opinions. And before someone says OMG the glare and lighting, please remember I'm a Power Lineman not a Photographer lol. Thanks -
I'm curious if anyone sees anything on this coin that screams counterfeit, it weights 26.99 grams which it just over the 26.87 max according to the weights and composition sheet I have. Thanks
-
Thank you for the info on this Conder
-
I believe I answered my own question lol. The coin I have looks to have the reverse of a 1802 and not the 1800 so yep pretty positive its a fake.
-
I've been looking for the possible tolerances on the weight of an 1800 Half Cent, I wasn't for sure if there was one listed somewhere. The coin I have is probably a counterfeit, but was curious for the future thanks.

1962 Proof Quarter DDO007
blinewalker replied to blinewalker's topic in Newbie Coin Collecting Questions
Yes I realize Variety didn't look at the coin and say yep that's it, I guess a better way to say it would be, Variety Vista has this 1962 proof quarter that looks almost identical to mine, but with no die markers or descriptions available I'm assuming this. -
