I found a 1971 half dollar that looks like it is silver on the edge but does not have the correct Weight. But it weighs a little more than a clad coin And everything about it says that it is silver except the weight. Even Did the ice cube test cut the ice cube like butter. Could this be plated. But certainly does not look like it. The last picture is the coin next to a 68

I was thinking that also but was also thinking it strange because it doesn't affect the whole surface. or the other side. And it looks like some of them actually run underneath the lettering.

I found this Quarter searching through rolls from the bank it looks like it has worm canals in it. Any ideas what could do this? I thought this was pretty strange.

Sorry just saw all your posts thanks for the help. This was a package deal and just said 2 pc of gold even though somewhat misleading or even just dishonest. But also didn't pay that much and did get some really nice BU SILVER QUARTERS. I still wonder what there made of. Would have been nice if were real. Also I am also from PA PITTSBURGH
