Well that makes sense. I was just scratching my head trying to figure it out. Also might explain why the coin ha changed color or toned due to exposure probably put a pin hole in the package. Will have to look closely at the package because I would think it would be damaged as well if it did that to the coin.

I have a 1965 flat special mint set that has marks on the edge is still in the pack have not seen this before and I sent pictures to a friend but didn't know either. Can you help

I really appreciate the help am sending coin back to the seller. He apologized and said he was going to get authentication for it. I guess no one has ever caught him before.

I bought this coin that was on the end of a wheat pennies roll I believe that it is fake just looking for some verification. Because I can return it i believe.. the seller says he buys the coins from a Reputable company. What are your thoughts 🤔

I have a 1887 unc Morgan that I purchased i weighed it and it was 26.6 did gravity test 2.8 results 9.5 is this acceptable from what I was reading it should have been at least 10.35.

Well that's very helpful thanks I think it might be a fake nothing matches and it has no rim and the letters are rolling off the edges and has markings on the edges. But it passed the gravity test is 28g

I found this in a roll of half dollars I was searching through and found this and others that were almost the same in different rolls I haven't seen this before and was wondering if it is anything or just some sort of external damage. They look light gray in color.

Checking before I buy. If is fake what is it that let you know I tried to compare with pictures of a real on I'm not seeing it. I feel like it not. But don't know why.

Got it on mercari asking the seller were he got it he said apmex my dumb mistake for not checking first didn't know much about them and didn't realize that they were counterfeiting them. Know now! Haven't been collecting that long guess still have a lot to learn. But he did refund me. Cuz he didn't know either. Lesson learned.
