  1. Yes it casts a shadow on the coin as in the picture. No scratch on the outside of the holder, your fingernail would detect that and would they have graded it a 64 with that as a coin scratch? I’ll probably not do anything with it, but I did contact PCGS about it.
  2. I received my 1904-O MS63 (slightly toned, more on obverse. Lovely New Orleans Mint coin. Also my LAST MS64FBL Benjamin Franklin. Question , on Frankie..There appears to be a scratch on the INSIDE of the PCGS holder on the OBVERSE. It is NOT on the coin, and not on the outside of the holder. I have not seen this occur before. Do you think this could be re-holdered?
  3. I will certainly chime in on the CHEESY mint packages. The 2002 Eagle proof is too beautiful to put in a cheap WalMart package.
  4. I have one of those too. The 2022 Eagle proof is a beautiful coin. In an earlier forum, we discussed grading it, but popular opinion, just leave it in OGP. So that’s what I am doing.
  5. I am unable to fully determine the VAM from the photos , however if I were to guess, before I actual see it, VAM 2, slanted CC, doubled C
  6. Yes Eagle I have been matching CC MS 63 coins all over the place, it wasn’t cheap, and imo, it’s legit, also the seller, who has a great rep, and nearly 1,000 sales is confident about it as well. Nonetheless, I get the shakes thinking about buying anything that costs this much.
  7. The only thing that frightened me was that on the PCGS verification page, no photo was present. But this was a GSA hoard coin with the hoard numbers, so I’m really hoping I didn’t f**k up.
  8. God Eagle, you just scared the bejesus out of me, as I just seconds ago, popped for an 1883 CC MS63 Morgan! yes I pre verified, hoped for it, Bid for it and won it by $1. I just hope it’s not one of those kinds!,,
  9. Yep still a decent find on pocket change these days Thanks
  10. Here is another nice one. My lucky penny day. This one a 1965 P
  11. I got this in pocket change the other day. Very nice for a pocket change penny that is 28 years old. PGCS guid states $10 for an MS65. What y’all think?
  12. Regarding fake slabs from EBay, does someone actually have one that appears untampered, great looking, that the TPG number checks out? If so , I would like to see it.
  13. I have a 2022 s proof too. Was thinking of sending it in but.. Modern tier cost return packaging cost improved holder cost handling fee cost return Shipping cost to: shipping cost its just not worth it imo.
  14. How would you explain the “golden nickels” Presidents, Sacawega, innovation, etc. nobody seems to want them.
  15. Thanks Sandon. I’ve been researching the registry and found the Collectors-society. You have to be an NGC member but you can create custom sets of pretty much everything. I understand that eventually this will be merged into the NGC registry
  16. I voted for 38-64 as well as 30% of respondents my Jeff nickel books are full. And JP got me looking at War nickels so I got all those and put them in a neat Capitol plastics holder.
