  1. Need 1980 1/10 Krugerrand coin, no cert, not grade specific.....
  2. Lol!! But you know that on EBay you can have multiple accounts and push your own items bid price up. That is only one reason you get second chance emails. That is why I “buy now”.
  3. I like the price I paid, and the coin, but I was wondering how reliable and trust worthy internet bidding can be knowing that everything can be hacked? I don't think the auction house is evil, but someone in their community could look and/or hack the prices and manipulate the bidding. I guess I am wondering how much people trust technology. BTW, I am not a hacker. I barely know enough to join a chat community...lol. So another question is, should I skip proxies and bid during the live event?
  4. Thanks for you humble opinion. I am a newbie and don't know much, but I will definently change my price to 150! Thanks again.
  5. I am selling them out of my store for 225, but it is just COA. I did not have them graded. Do you think I am pricing them right?
  6. I like this medal. I bought the Liberty on August 18th and kinda regret it. It’s not as pretty as this one!
  7. I was wondering what y’all thought of putting proxies on bids? Do you think proxies can be manipulated? Do you trust internet or even live bidding proxies? Me and my paranoid mind I have issues with trust…lol. I bid on a coin and my proxy won the auction, but another coin almost like mine went for less. Dum, da da da, dumb, right?
  8. What is MCM and OGP? do y’all think it is fair that you can’t get FDOI unless you can buy the coin from the mint at a trade show and give it to NGC that day? I bought some coins with proof that I bought them on the same day and only got an early release. Is there anyway to dispute it?
  9. Hello, The title says it all. I want to know if anyone would have this medal graded? Is it even worth having graded? It has a 75,000 production and mintage, but is that rare for a medal? I don't know much about medals and don't even know if they are worth collecting. Keep me posted, Diamondslayer
  10. Almost the same in any business. When cost come down and see that the consumer is still paying, the business takes the premium until they see their numbers fall. In my business, diamonds have increased 30% these last two years. When wholesale diamond prices go up they never come down. Never!!
  11. Diamonds are subjective. That is why they use an odd number of graders to come up with an average of all of their opinions. When it comes to diamonds reports, yes they add expense to the diamond, but it helps the jeweler show his unbias in any diamond sale. Most diamonds are graded, and if it is not then I would ask for it to be graded before I buy (especially a pretty diamond...lol). When GIA and AGS came out with reports, there were jewelers who resisted. But now almost any reputable jeweler puts a report on their diamond. If I sell a diamond without a report, it is because it is frozen spit and it would add to much expense to the cheap diamond. I always let the client know what they are purchasing though. Now, the consumer expects reports. The nature of the business has changed, but for the better. With that said though, there is still a level of fraud. Just like any business...or life. As far as coins, Idk. That is why I am here.
  12. I pulled the trigger yesterday. I just wanted to know what y’all thought. I have been keeping an eye on the futures too. Fundamental analysis says that we are on our way to a major recession. Technical analysis says that we have enough room to break out from here. That is my opinion. This is coming from my outlook on the five year weekly chart and the year daily chart. This is just my opinion and in no way should be taken as investment advice. I am usually wrong, but that is the reason I trade options. This gives me the ability to mitigate loss or turn them into winners with adjustments to my trade. Again, this is not investment advice. Have I done something wrong? I am not able to ask anymore questions in the newbie section. I have the best account. Please keep me posted!
