  1. I picked up this Ike recently because I realized I didn’t have a slabbed Ike in my collection 🌞
  2. I had to take a picture of this raw one I had lying around cause I played all the seated dimes I already had pictures of which were my slabbed ones 🌞
  3. Ok, but I might let it soak in mineral oil for a very long time, but I’ll repost the before images along with some after images when it’s done 🌞
  4. If that NNC 93 Eagle is on EBay, most likely they covered the grade to comply with ebays policy that only you can only say a coin is certified to be a certain grade if it is in NGC or PCGS (maybe ANACS too, I forget). So, if people want to sell generic slabs they aren’t supposed to show the grade. They did this because NNC and other generics were saying everything was a 70 and enough people complained that eBay agreed it was fraud and they took that action. It was a big victory if this isn’t on eBay, then never mind 🌞
  5. I don’t think anybody will fall for that one or for his missing P Lincoln fake error coin either
  6. Thanks @Quintus Arrius @Just Bob Do you have any advice regarding the token pictures 2 posts up? Would a soak in mineral oil be advisable?
  7. I purchased this token recently off of eBay after reading that these were used in the mint in their break room vending machines. They weren’t allowed to carry real coins in their pockets and they had to use these instead. I haven’t received it yet, these were the auction image. I’m probably going to soak it in mineral oil to get rid of the verdigris and crud.
  8. That’s great that the mint is going to refund you like that. Still a bummer, but could have ended up worse.
  9. Sometimes I’m not 100% sure that I’m not posting ones I posted before either 🌞
  10. Cool video, thanks. Such an elaborate process to make something that people take for granted.
  11. I don’t know, but I found this which might provide a clue in your search https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces22858.html
  12. Definately you can get drastically different effects with minor differences in lighting. Fun for art images like the picture below, but not so good if you are trying to capture an accurate image. same coin, different lighting
  13. Here’s the new lights I just got recently. I’m liking them so far. I had to unscrew the covers and remove the diffuser and they seem to be working great
  14. Here’s my original setup, before I upgraded the lights a couple of times
