Lem E reacted to J P M in My Find of the Day
Another trip to the bank today and asked if they had any strange coins they wanted to part with? One girl said I have 19 of them if you want. I said sure. LoL
I got one silver out of the batch. At melt It is almost worth what I paid for the whole of them.

Lem E got a reaction from rrantique in Die Polishing Lines, Like, Dislike, Indifferent?
Doesn’t really bother me too much. I have one particular example that has some pretty heavy polish lines. Can’t really stand the fingerprints. I have too many of those.

This came in today and I was hoping it would be a gold colored UC .I think it is cool looking. I have seen this color on some mint sets I have bought in the past.

1815 (5 over 2 as are all) key date Capped Bust Half dollar, NGC graded AU Details, reverse scratches. This is one of my best coins despite the impairment.

@powermad5000--The rule for this thread as I understand it is that each coin must be followed by one of the same type or same date, except that a gold coin may also be followed by another gold coin of any type, and a token may also be followed by any other token. An 1827 Capped Bust half can't be followed by a 1966 Kennedy half.

Lem E got a reaction from Hoghead515 in 1978 Red Penny No MM. Any Value?
Welcome to the forum. No value over face. Looks like a cup holder coin and has some staining or a bit of corrosion from exposure to the elements. No mint mark means it was minted in Philadelphia.

I don’t seek them out but I have acquired a few error coins over the years. I particularly like the broadstruck pieces.

Lem E got a reaction from Coinbuf in Environmental damage?
Looks like heat damage to me. Clad layers are separating from the core.
