It’s just a heavily damaged coin, still just worth a cent.

Got a 2000P Sacagawea Speared Eagle Graded MS 66. NGC value is $1,350 selling for $1,250 with free insured/certified mail for the sale price. If you want it insured for a higher amount let me know so we can discuss extra fees before hand. If you would prefer buying off of eBay I am selling for full value of $1,350 to help offset eBay/PayPal fees. Thanks for looking! https://www.ebay.com/itm/143904562764

I didn’t say his opinion wasn’t good, I am well aware of his knowledge. all I’m saying is coin grading is subjective from grader to grader. One may grade it a 61 and another a 62. I only stated what was my opinion, not to mention to me what looks like tooling along the spine of the Eagle like someone was trying to clean out debris from the crevices.my opinions was never meant to de-value someone else’s. If it was taken that way I apologize. -

Well don’t send it to pcgs a scratched coin gets a “scratched” designation instead of a grade. So I don’t understand how you think that doesn’t affect the grade. But I do think it needs an evaluation in hand 100% before a decision to send it in is made. -

I can’t see this coin getting an MS designation there are to many nicks and gouges around the word “unum” a gouge above headdress and deep scratch about obverse right side 3 stars down and who is to say what else is there that isn’t visible in the picture. -

I would put an AU grade on this coin maybe AU55 which is not much above melt value. As RWB mentioned I would have a reputable dealer look at it first. But your going to spend more to have it graded and it will not gain you much if any added value. And since your not a member your going to have to join which is at least $100 to become a member and then additional grading cost. So don’t do it if your planning to resell ably do it if your wanting to keep it well protected forever beings that it’s an inherited coin. But this is just my opinion. Also melt value for this coin is at $456.17 as of yesterday. -
Yes indeed when they received my coins and entered them Into the system the website said 2 day turnaround and it ended up being 7 business days. Im not happy at all. Plus I paid for signature labels and they wasn’t applied to the slabs. I’m really considering dropping NGC and relying solely on PCGS. I’ve Never had an issue with them. I’m definitely calling them to give them a piece of my mind.

Special Labels
KyCoinKollektor replied to KyCoinKollektor's topic in Newbie Coin Collecting Questions
Yes is was supposed to have a glenna Goodacre signature label that I was charged for. And thanks. BTW It’s for sale if your interested -
Seems to be tripled to me, I’m no expert by no stretch, but I couldn’t imagine even if it did have a variety attribution available that it would be gradable due to the environmental damage (green spots). I would just flip it up and keep it. Who knows maybe 5-10/20 years down the road more will surface and a variety will become available.

Not what I hoped for but still worth $1,350 for a $1 investment + grading so I’m still happy. It graded out a MS 66. 😩🤷♂️ -
Has anyone sent off for a coin to be graded and paid for a special signature label and not get it. Are there only certain coins that go with a particular label or did NGC just drop the ball and forget.
-
Depending on the buyer and how bad they want it I would say the most you will get for it is $20-30 but if someone is really wanting that coin they are gonna want it slabbed. In which will cost more than it’s worth. So with that being said you might get lucky selling it on eBay for around $10. It’s just a die fill and not a variety coin. Sorry

Thank you very much, Happy Holidays! 😀

I have (2) raw wounded eagles I found in the same roll today. I have so many of these now I’m only looking for the top 2 grades so I won’t be sending these off. Open to reasonable offers. Posted as a group on eBay for $800 but I’m very flexible for my NGC brothers/Sisters. Also I’m giving 10% of the proceeds towards St. Judes Children’s Hospital.

counterfeit morgans??
KyCoinKollektor replied to dollarfan's topic in Newbie Coin Collecting Questions
Well beings that the only other thing they sell is face mask that 99% come from China I am gonna take an educated guess and say these have the same origins. They Look fake as hell to boot. Plus they are being shipped from the UK I don’t buy anything not slabbed out of the country, I try not to do it at all but sometimes I can’t help it plus eBay has it money back guarantee regardless if they accept returns or not. -
I don’t think it’s a die chip, it looks like foreign matter on the coin, like a little piece of salt but yeah why is it relevant to this post I’m wondering as well.

Is the Indian penny raw, what is the grade on that beauty? Nice presents hope you reciprocated on the same level 🎄🤣

I completely understand the not guaranteed part and that is fine, but I think the honest thing to do if it cannot be fulfilled is to adjust the fee🤷♂️

First of all Hello and Merry Christmas! I sent in two coins for grading and they was received last Friday and booked into the system on Monday. I purchased Express but one coin is variety plus and is still stuck at “scheduled for grading” while the other is done. The whole time the turnaround times has been 2 working days so If I would have known that I would have spared the extra $60 for express went with standard or economy and had them shipped separately as they finish. And since my variety plus isn’t done yet I can’t see the grade of my other submission and it’s killing me 😫. Why isn’t it if the coin is slabbed and done the result entered into the system instead of waiting for each individual coin to be finished. Thanks for any and all replies and stay safe 😀

NGC certification tool images?
KyCoinKollektor replied to mn0t3s's topic in Newbie Coin Collecting Questions
I’m having the same issue with the app but not the full site. No coins are showing images not even in my online collection that I know have pictures. Have to close out the app after looking up a coin just to back out of the previous screen. It’s sure is annoying!
