  1. Looks like the nose has taken a hit pushing the metal to the side. PMD.
  2. Hard to tell from those pictures. A close-up of the area in question would have been nice but from what I see it is not a DD but DDD. Don't really see anything on the 5 except wear. Also the mm cannot be doubled as it was hand punched into the die after the die was made.
  3. Sorry but I don't think so. Also Die Doubling is a Variety, not an Error.
  4. Welcome to the Forum That is not an error but damage.(PMD) The fact that there is no rim tells you that whatever happened to the coin occured after the coin was minted.
  5. Welcome to the Forum CoinDaddyBoss Out of curiosity, whatever made you think that was made of silver? Especially since the last business strike was minted in 1964.
  6. Probably marks caused by overpolishing that were not removed. You can see them at the back of the neck which has also lost some detail.
  7. It does. Looks like his Adams Apple is missing. Wonder if it is due to over polishing in that area.
  8. I think the "Ask NGC Forum" is the closest forum to that on here. You can read previous posts but it is mainly about customers looking for their coins or questions about them.
  9. You have already stated in your heading " it's fake need help". If you want verification, you will need much better pictures, can't really tell much from the existing photos. Take the coin out of the cellophane, rotate properly and show a clear picture of both sides so that we can see the detail. A clear close-up of the date would also help.
  10. Looks like it may be a stain as opposed to a Lamination. A lamination is usually straight and you can see definite separation in the copper.
  11. If it's fake as you stated, then there is no value to it.
  12. As above, it's worth one cent. The only WAM years worth a premium are 1998, 1999 & 2000. These years should be CAM.
  13. Welcome to the Forum. Could you be a little more specific as to what orders you are referring to.
  14. I don't know where you got the idea that they are low mintage, as I stated earlier there were hundreds of millions of each series minted and they are by no means scarce. You can buy a complete set of 52 uncirculated on eBay for under $25.00. Could you please give us a link to where someone is selling them for thousands of dollars? Sounds like something you would see on estey
  15. Unless you see something I don't I can't see anything worth more than face value. They look like regular State and America the Beautiful quarters with hundreds of millions of each produced.
  16. I think what you may be referring to is a SPIKE HEAD, which is a term used to describe a Lincoln Cent with a die crack running from the top of the head to the rim. You were on the right track, just unfortunate spelling. You might want to change the spelling to spike.
  17. Looks like a linear plating bubble on the reverse. Probably zinc dust and bubbling on the reverse. This was common in1982 & 3.
  18. You can't have a coin with a rim on only one side so the only answer is that it has been ground down. PMD and no extra value.
  19. How about a full picture of both sides of the coin so we know what we are looking at.
  20. Depends on what you want to do with them. If you are looking at selling them, then yes. If you intend on keeping them, then why?
  21. Welcome to the forum. Looks like a linear plating bubble. Not uncommon with zinc coins.
