I challenge, i.e. dare anyone to introduce a follow-up feature, entitled:  "Ten Tips from an Old-Timer for clueless, "couldn't-care-less" Members."
Don't tarry!  You never know when Dena, or the Grim Reaper may show up, unexpectedly.

This is an outstanding thread. There are threads, however, so good -- and this may very well be one of them, where caution is advised. You know, VIEWER DISCRETION IS ADVISED!  Barring that, viewers with thread-bare knowledge and experience would be well-advised to traipsing through the threads accompanied by a chaperone well-versed in the subject matter.  Interestingly, YouTube went unmentioned. Now that's a platform which must be approached with extreme caution, antennae fully extended. 🤔

Captain rich, eh?  Any relation to RichieRich2020?  🤣  Whether you are new to the hobby or the Chat Board and whether you agree or disagree to the tips expressed herein, take it from me, a breath of fresh air is always welcome on the board.
Now, that does not necessarily mean I agree with everything voiced.  For example, the OP insists on No Cleaning, period.  While there are those who might object on technical grounds, I will baldly add:  if you wish to make a good impression, and still want to maintain a hardliner's stance and insist on presenting your '09-S-VDB in its original, muddied state, feel free to do so but bear in mind it will matter little if you hold the coin properly by its edge if your fingernails are unclipped and dirty.  Remember, first impressions count.
Great thread!  Informative, opinionated and unorthodox, but falls squarely within the Guidelines.

Interesting satire - and want to point it out to other newbies as such.  I am a newbie, and proud of my newbie status.  This is fun read loaded with sarcasm and stereotype... the kernels of truth are what make this post entertaining, but of course this is exaggerated.

You forgot to mention the guys that can't even do what you stated above. They just regularly give out patently false information. dprince1138 comes to mind right off hand I'd say...

My statement was more focused on the idea of having good pictures/ the best pictures of the coins you can make and generally investing effort in the presentation that reflects, essentially, "pride of place."
If you wanted to go further - a set that is 90% complete except for 1 or 2 rare coins losing to a set that is 25% complete that has that rare coin(s) and others in high grade?
The points system of the registry, for better or worse, privileges key dates and high grades by design because this helps encourage/ drive demand for high grades and top pops. That's inevitably going to lead to some outcomes that some of us consider not ideal. I just hope and wish that the 25% complete set gives us good pictures of those high grade coins - sadly, they usually don't.

Well, I think that's $250 face value. With them being mint sealed rolls you might get a premium ($30-40?) Selling them individually or the right person that wants it might give you $350-$400, but presidential dollars didn't catch on with collectors or the population like the State Quarters did or like the mint hoped, so they haven't seemed to hold up in value over the years - quite the opposite. I mostly see the values way way down.

Not sure you will break even on those rolls. Check prices on ebay.

I was wondering about the missing edge letters. I read some articles on it and the mint was first notified of them on Thursday March 8, my package is round-dated with the Post Office date of March 11 in Cleveland Ohio and it was shipped on 2/27 out of Memphis Tenn. 10 rolls, what's the odds that I got some of the errors?

Your best bet would be to open them up and see, I can't see anyone paying much of a premium unless they can verify what is in the rolls. The shipping date is not enough to identify them as missing edge lettering coins, from what I understand.
I really don't think you have much to loose either way, so I'd open them.

I have bids out on a 1943 Walker in NGC MS67 CAC and a 1943-S Walker in NGC MS66+ CAC.
Kept my fingers crossed on those two; ended up losing both bids...

I always pay my own transportation costs - air, train, or road. I pay my own hotel for the Spring show, and the ANA picks up my room cost for the August show. I may be able to do the odd show by train from here. From Harrisburg, I was often a train traveler.

Thanks.  My experience with both was intense but limited to 2019.  You young whippersnappers certainly have a leg up on me, now nearly 70. I am going to make a note of those options for future reference. Thanks a million and do have yourself a great holiday weekend!

I don't have a problem with eBay.  I don't think I will ever have a problem with eBay.  The majority of complaints I have heard concern PayPal. (There is an unwritten rule somewhere that states PayPal is indispensible and above reproach and criticism. Nonsense!)
If eBay implements that proposed rule change, like you, I would have to consider any other available options.
